“Solidarity building peace among nations”: this is the central theme of the 3rd Concafras Mundial. The event will take place in the city of Porto, Portugal, in October 2018.
Building peace must be a cooperative effort, that will begin by each one of us. To assist you in this process, we selected ten quotes about peace for you to carry throughout your life, in order to do your inner reform and contribute with the moral transition of planet Earth.
“Since it’s not possible yet to live in an environment of pure peace among creatures, due to the prevalence of ignorance and bellicosity in the human journey, let us learn the lessons of inner serenity when facing the conflicts that try to hit us all the time.”
Peace begins with a smile. Smile at least five times a day to people that normally you would not smile. Do it for the peace. Let’s spread the peace of God, becoming the reflection of His light to put out all types of hate and love for power from the world and from the human heart.”, suggested Mother Teresa. The sister of the poor also recommended: “What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”
Dalai Lama warned: “Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace”.
“Never use violence of any kind. Never threaten with violence in any way. Never cultivate violent thoughts. Never argue, because it attacks the opinion of the other person. Never criticize, because it attacks the ego of the other person. And your success will be guaranteed”, advised Mahatma Gandhi
“The peace that you announce with your lips, keep it with more abundance in your heart” taught Saint Francis of Assisi.
Joanna de Angelis advised: “Always live in peace. A peaceful mind, which brings no remorse for past actions, nor fears future actions, provides you harmony. Nothing from outside can disturb a peaceful heart, that pulses in the pace of duty properly fulfilled. Peace deserves all your effort to be achieved”.
Pope Francis reminds us that Jesus himself, even though having lived in a time of violence, taught us that the human heart is the true battle field, where we face violence and peace, and where we should cultivate the unconditional love, forgiveness and humbleness
“We all desire peace; many people build it every day with little gestures; many suffer and patiently endure the challenges of so many attempts to build it. Let us commit ourselves, through prayer and action, to become people who have banished words and actions of violence from their hearts, and to build nonviolent communities that take care of the common homes. Nothing is impossible if we turn to God in prayer. Everyone can be artisans of peace. “
